Triglav Re finished the first half of 2007 with the profit before taxation amounting to EUR 5.3 million.
The loss frequency in the first half of the year under review was more intense as in the previous year which is considered to be one of the most favourable one in the reinsurance industry. Theloss ratio calculated for the first half of 2007 was affected by the winter storm Kyrill. The direct consequence for Triglav Re was that the amount of EUR 2 million was paid for losses caused by Kyrill. Compared to the first half of 2006, the gross reinsurance premium increased by 14.0%. It is also noteworthy that the growth of 33.0% was recorded in net premium and amounted to EUR 25.9 million.
Changes in the Board of Management of Triglav Re, LtdMr. Gregor Stražar (MBA) took over the responsibilities of the Member of the Board of Management. Mr. Tomaž Rotar was appointed as a new Member of the Board of Management.
